Dr. Jay Johnson has been practicing oral and maxillofacial surgery in Cocoa, FL since 1995, serving patients with a calm, attentive approach and a strong focus on clinical excellence. A Brevard County native, Dr. Johnson takes pride in caring for the community he calls home. Patients appreciate his straightforward communication, steady presence, and dedication to providing the safest, most effective care possible.

Dr. Johnson earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in 1987 and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Medical College of Virginia in 1991. He then completed a four-year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Ohio, where he trained in a full scope of surgical care.
He is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Johnson is also a member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, and the Florida Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, among other prestigious organizations.
Born and raised in Rockledge, FL, Dr. Johnson is deeply rooted in the Space Coast community. Outside of the office, he enjoys golf, swimming, and running, activities that reflect his commitment to balance and well-being.
Dr. Johnson is married and has two daughters with his wife, Jill. Their older daughter, Emily, is an elementary school teacher in Florida, and their younger daughter, Elizabeth, currently works in Marketing for Caesars Entertainment in Las Vegas. Dr. Johnson values family above all and enjoys spending time with them whenever possible, whether close to home or during visits from school breaks.

Doctor Johnson was very nice during the time I was there for the extraction of my tooth. His assistant April explained the procedure and the guidelines to follow after the surgery. Demi (I hope my spelling is correct) was very helpful and nice; she answered all my questions. I had a good experience yesterday and I recommend Dr. Johnson and his staff.
